Based on our environmental declaration under the slogan “Beautiful earth forever”, we comply with laws and regulations regarding environmental conservation through the operation of the ISO14001 Environmental Management System, etc., and promote the development of products with low environmental impact and energy and resource conservation in the manufacturing process, thereby contributing to the development of a livable earth and an affluent society.

Fundamental philosophy
The Showa Shinku Group considers the preservation of the global environment as one of the common issues for all human beings, and will contribute to the development of a livable earth and an affluent society by taking into consideration environmental conservation in all aspects, including manufacturing processes and products in its business activities, and by providing such products to society that can contribute to environmental conservation.

Acquisition of ISO14001 Certification
The international environmental management standard ISO14001 (2015 edition) has been acquired for the Head Office and the Sagamihara Factory.
We will actively work on environmental issues and strive to conserve the global environment.
Development of environment-friendly products
We are also actively involved in developing environmental-friendly products, such as highly productive equipment that helps reduce electricity consumption and components that help reduce waste during use.
Measures towards climate changes
Dealing with climate change is an important issue for the realization of a sustainable society. As for Scope 1 and 2 emissions, the Showa Shinku Group has set a target for carbon neutrality by 2050 and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030 as compared to the year 2020, and is working to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its business activities.
As one of its efforts, in September 2024, we introduced a green basic plan provided by TEPCO Energy Partner, Incorporated, about 100% of the electric power used in the headquarters Sagamihara factory and Kamimizo factory. The green basic plan refers to a plan to provide electricity from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydro power with zero actual CO2 emissions.
As a result, 99% of greenhouse gas emissions at the facility will be virtually zero and more than 80% of our greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced.
